My Clio Doesn't Start Sometimes

I own a Clio 1.4 MTV since 2000. Especialy at mornings my Clio does not start at all (the electric starter does not run) and the immobilizer light at the dashboard flashes constantly.I have to turn the key to the OFF position and then turn it on again, several times, until the immobilizer light at the first 2 or 3 seconds remains ON and then turns OFF as it should from the beggining. Then I turn the key to the ignition an the car starts at once, as if nothing happened. Then the rest of the day everything is usualy OK.
The car is not equiped with a car alarm.
I took the car to an authorised dealer twice but they can not locate the problem since Clios don't record malfunctions in a log in their central computer unit, so the can must be monitored the exact time the problem occurs to locate it.
I keep telling them it has to be the immobilizer but the last time they located a faulty sensor on the camshaft (pick - up sensor they called it), charged me 80 euros ,swore that the problem was sold, and the next morning the car didn't start at the same mannor.
Mail me at : xpavlou@hotmail.com if you know anything about it.
Thanx in advance,
Mac

After 3 months a friend told me that the problem was located at the keys, and sometimes both keys might fail at the same time.He was right. So I had to reprogram the keys and the immobiliser and luckily one of the keys worked fine. The starting problem dissapeared and I copy the good key at my local key maker for 30 euros (the authorised dealer charges the new key 140 euro plus work)

I too was having a starting problem and having read about the reply on immobiliser light to go off before turning the ignition key on 3 times or so , my car started immediately. I would like to thank you for the advice and hope lot of people will benefit from this. Ravi.
