Fox 5lug conversion?

I have wanted to convert my 90GT to 5lug/4wheel disc ever since I bought it. The brakes suck despite new parts as I'm sure you know
if you own one. Better brakes will be great but the drilled rotors behind
the new 17's should look tough. Has anyone seen a set of new Bullit
wheels on a Fox? How about the large hood scoop from a newer model GT. One question I can't get out of my head is how to fit a set of really fat tiresunder my car. I've seen 285/40/17 rear and 255/45/17 fronts under a1990GT at a car show but I never got a chance to talk to the owner. It rode just a hair under factory height but the stance reminded me of a Vette. This is a for sure mod for the future because it just looked too cool. Not to mention unique. If anyone has experience with a 5lug swap or an opinion on the wheels/scoop or an idea on how to shoehorn those wheels under my car let me know.

I swapped my 4-lugs to 5-lugs and threw brand new Silver polished Buillits not the grey spoked ones on my 87 GT. Everyone who has seen it likes the look of the rims on my blue GT.

Best brake kit for a fox stang is the Baer kit that is consider a substitute for the Ford Racing Cobra conversion kit. I think it is is only a couple hundred more and is loads better. They use the 94-95 spindles in this kit.
Goto the Baer website it is plastered all over it. That's what I'm going to switch to when i get some more money agian.

not sure bout the brakes but as far as the tires go just mini-tub the car. and as far as the scoop goes, arent there enough people out there with scoops, spoilers, and stickers and have done absolutely nothing other than a muffler for motor mods? my only question is why go around looking like a badass if you cant back it. no offense.

No offense taken, but my mods are far more than a muffler. It's alot closer to a sleeper. I agree, too many guys out there that look like an F40 knock off who don't even know how to drive much less race or build a hot car. Takes more than a body kit to produce hp.

I have 4 wheel discs on my 89, but opted to stay with 4 lug because I already had beefy axles and nice wheels which I didn't feel like replacing. true, the 5 lug spindles are stronger, but I have had no problems thus far. Bear makes a great kit as stated previously. The easiest way to fit large wheels in your car is to roll the fenders a little. stock fox body's will take a 27x10.5" slick, which is pretty F'in big.
for the front, I have 245's, and they even rubbed a little bit when I made a tight turn in reverse. that was mainly due to my car being lowered however, and now that I have coilovers and a new suspension, it is no longer a problem.
