Does anyone have any pics or know where I can find some pictures of the 1998 or 1999 WRC Impreza Rally car?

Did you search on google.com?

Try looking through the photo archives on www.rally-live.com

I have loads in books but no scanner.

What do you need photos for?

I tried google, and I can find plenty of pics of the newer cars, but not the 98 and 99. I mostly just need pics of the interior and underside, for reference for a model I'm building.

You'll be hard pressed to find much of the underside.
The interior, hmm.....you have me thinking.

Did you post in the modelling forum about this, there are some rally model builders there.

I totally forgot about this site I had bookmarked:

Sweet! New Desktop Picture.

Anyways, I'd check over in the Car modeling forum. I'm sure there's a couple builders over there that have some of the interior. I'll actually be needing a couple myself before long too (I hope)

just imagine large metal plates covering the entire undercarriage.

I am assuming you have never seen the underside of a WRC car?

Couple of things:
1. They only cover the complete drivetrain on gravel rallies
2. They are not metal plates, they are C/F composite
3. The guards vary from one rally to another depending on requirements.

last time i saw under a wrc car was awhile ago, and as i remember, that's what it looked like to me. and that's what it looks like under my car's engine and tranny. i didn't opt for the c/f composite skid plates...just plain ol' 'luminum boring skid plates.

Like I said, depending on which rally the car was prepared for will effect what the underbody skid plates and guards will look like. (Rallies like Catalunya sometimes don't even use any guarding).

What car do you have?
I am always interested in seeing privately owned rally cars :)
Do you have some photos?

i'm sure i can dig through some old computer hard drives to find some pics. i had a '91 awd talon that my friend and i effectively built and destroyed...lol
then we realized we needed ALOT of extra parts and $$$. i have half way completed my impreza rally car. it was leaving the stages of daily driver and going to be garaged and worked on, however catastrophic engine and computer failure have grounded that dream for awhile *sigh*.
