Hey everyone, I am 15 years old and I am into cars. (have been since I was about 7) I just helped my friend finish his '72 Chevelle, and now I am onto my car.

I am looking for a street rod or a muscle car. I really like the Dodge Charger, Plymouth Baraccudda, Plymouth Duster, '50s Chevy, Chevelle, and Camaro.

Please help me!!!! You can catch me on AIM at ECDnihlism

How much cash are you looking to spend?

The most important question which seems to always be left out of these threads...

It all comes down to money (or lack of it) in the end.

You can buy a fully restored duster with a 340 or 360 in it for 6K easy.
For B and E bodies (roadrunners and cudas) 6K won't get you much other than a basket case that needs complete resto. Maybe a late 60's barracuda you could get for under 6 G's.
Try www.collectorcartraderonline.com and look up 1970-1976 dusters.
Any early 70's A bodies are fairly cheap. I bought my 73 valiant with 318 for 500 bucks. Has front disk brakes and power steering, these are a real find. Also had functioning R12 A/C! Needs a little body work, paint job, and carpet but it ran good and is solid. I'm pulling the engine now anyway to make way for my 300 HP 273 CID solid cam. Yes I am swapping in an engine with less cubic inches, but it make twice the HP than the stock 318 and still plenty more torque.

How about a 3rd gen Nova(I dont know if you guys consider the first Fastback Novas 2nd or 3rd gen)?? 6k should buy you a clean one.

Around here(so cal), 6 grand wont buy you much of a hot rod.. like the late 50's ones... least none that i've seen.
