01 Tahoe LT - Auto 4WD Question

I just bought a used 01 Tahoe LT (5.3 V8) with 38k miles and it runs great in 2WD. I put it in Auto 4WD this afternoon and noticed a shuddering and slight lurching when in reverse. It doesn't do it all the time, mainly with the wheels turned. Any ideas what this might be? I hope like hel* it's not xmission problems. I just unloaded my last Jeep (95 Limited) because of NUMEROUS problems and I'm not ready to start all over again with this one.

I have a 2000 Tahoe LS 4x4, 5.3 new body style also. Mine does the same thing and has since i purchased it new. It now has 120,000 miles and still does the same thing, but 4x4 is okay. I just figured it was normal.

Thanks for your reply. I've driven it quite a bit this weekend in 4WD and Auto 4WD and I think you're right. It seems to be running just fine.

After owning two Jeeps and spending $1000s in repairs, I guess I'm just a little paranoid.
