Help on Wiring amp

Im a newbie on this sort of stuff. I just got some 12" inch subs and a 1000 watt pioneer amp from my friend. He also provided me with the wires and also told me that its easy to connect but i dont want to mess anything up without knowing what to do. So can anyone please give me some info on how to do this?
