This is a 1/24 Mitsubishi Fuso car carrier made by Mitsuwa Model. It's huge! I put the 1/24 Skyline there to give some sense of scale to the box. The trailer carries five cars and the whole thing is beautifully molded and very detailed. It comes with full engine detail, a tilt cab, steering and detailed suspension.
I will be building it as a Nissan car delivery truck from the 70's with 5 stock built Hasegawa Datsun Bluebird SSS sedans (510s) on the back, each one in a different factory colour. This will be the biggest project I have ever undertaken. The livery will look like this...

I think it'll take me about six months to build the whole lot as it's basically like building seven models. I took some pics of the box contents and just mocked up a few of the main parts so you can see how it'll look. I think it will just about fit in my display cabinet when it's done.. I hope so anyway!

It'll probably be my vote for model of the year, 2004.
But finish the Auster first, since that thing is super mega awesome.

This sounds like a great undertaking.
I look forward to watching this progress.
I wouldn't have a place to put a huge completed peice like that.

Hehe..that's definately getting finished first. In fact I want to work on this one alone when the time comes so I've got nine models to finish before I start on it. :cwm27: I torture myself every time I get a new kit..I always want to start on it right there and then

That's so wicked cool. I can't wait to see it whenever you decide to start it and finish it. Projects like that have floated into my head but I decided I'd never have the patience to build the cars to go on the back. Good luck! I don't doubt your skill or patience, but this will try at least one!

I saw an American truck version on ebay recently..it looked huge! That would be awesome loaded up with muscle cars! I wanted to keep it a Japanese truck if possible to stay in theme with the Jaopanese cars. The truck is Late 70's I think although I'm not 100% sure. It doesn't say one the box (well, it probably does but I can't read Japanese!
Iceblend: it was 6800yen (about $63) but it was nearlt that much again in shipping ...the box is quite heavy:disappoin
