Need help with jammed door lock!

Have a 2001 Silverado and the door lock mechanism has failed in the locked position. Cannot get the door opened. Can anyone tell me how to get the door open so that I can remove the panel?

just use a screwdriver to flick the mechanism back to it's correct position - it happens every now and then.
