I have a cliford intel guard 700 system in my car. I have to type a code after i unlock the car with the key button thing, then i have to type in this code after i start the car. Lately it keeps messing up and the code wont shut it off, so the car wont start. Ive found the main unit, a black clifford box under my dash close to the steering wheel and i thas a big plug witha bunch of wires. I want to disconnect the system so i dont have to deal with it, i dont know if i should unplugg that or not that seems to simple and i dont know if it will mess up the alarm sytem any worse. PLEASE IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING BOUT THESE SYSTEMS TELL ME. Right no my car cant start cause of the messed up alarm and when its not working i cant start it and my brake lights flash so i had to disconnect the battery so it didnt get drained. This is a big pronblem i wont this shit disconnected. So please tell me if any of you know how to do it.

ok you are going to have to drop the knee panel. Which is the trim piece that your knees point at whenever you're driving. Look for the 2 wires that have been cut and butt connected. Simple reconnect these wire to themselves. This is sorta hard to explain but, the 2 wires that have been cut are the start wire and the ignition wire and relays have been wired in ie starter/ign. kill. You will see where the new wires are attached simple reconnect the str/ign wires leaving out the relays. This will allow the car to start but depending on why you are having a problem i am unsure. Check the slave remote battery ( the slave is the one that is labeled) and makes sure that the peice that holds the battery in place is well soldered in place i have found this to be a major problem in these remotes. I recommend taking this to an authorized dealer of clifford not dei since real clifford peices like this are nothing like the matrix series. I hope this helps....

You can also goto WWW.DIRECTED.COM and look up clifford install guides to find out exactly what wire goes to what. Usually, if you simply unplug the unit, you can start the car but it depends really how the alarm was installed. Some have a deal where if you unhook the alarm, the starter kill is permanet until you plug it back in and disarm it.

That would mean the starter cut-out relay would be open in the default condition ... not a good idea.

Yep, it is something that I normally do not do. :cwm27:
