550 hp camaro!

this racing team in my hometown said to have a 550 HP camaro. ????????? waiiiiiiit a minute, only 550hp and its running 8's ???? my uncle had a 1050hp camaro that was running mid 8's to low 9's, what kinda drivetrain is that thing supposed to have? i dont know if i buy that info. could be wrong, but i smell fish.

Dude, 550 hp even at the rear wheels is only going to push 11's at best with the right gearing. I would be suspisous.

i got a T-TOp camaro with a scoop on the hood, two big speakers blastin jhonny be good, lookin so sweet it aughta be a crime, plays with your heart and messes with your mind.... :) well, dont have a scoop yet, but will :) and 550hp for any daily driven car is alot. im lookin at 450 out of my 302(327) for a race car, no its not.

I've got an 800hp camaro with 5.11 gears and a th400 trany with a shift kit, all the make traction goodies I could find, and I run low 11's, well it's only about 650 at the wheels. I love the navy, they gave me 8 grand for reenlisting and then I got 3 grand on my tax return. But it's not a daily driver, I think I might makit it 2 miles up the road to the gas station, if I don't get pulled over. Hey Iroc, what happened to Texashotrod? He started a thread on making a car go fast and havn't seen him since.

lol, i think when i get the IROC street legal, and put in the new stereo im gonna hit up audioslaves show me how to live. anyone seen the video, its the old movie Interstate 76 with the white dodge challenger drving cross country. its pretty bad ass. bad ass song, bad ass vid, just bad ass :) dont get me wrong, im sad that rage broke up, but audioslave is pretty kick ass band to come out of the ashes.

I hated rage, but audio slave kicks major ass. and the vid rocks too. But when I got other camaro done, I didn't have a radio and just listened to the pur, well growl of the motor going down the street.

89 Iroc--> What I was refering to, is it would take all the above to put the car into the 10's. so getting the same car into the 8's is IMPOSSIBLE.
