2001 headlight problem

has anybody else run into this? Had the car a week and the left headlight burned out. The dealership replaced it and it burned out the next day. They replaced that and it was dimmer than the right one and didn't throw light on the road. This morning the right one burned out (the only one that was working). Has anyone else had problems with theirs and what was the fix?

These units have replaceable bulbs, which require their own handling tips. If the bulb is handled on the envelope (glass), the hot spot created will cause the bulb to burst due to uneven heating. I think that if you go to a parts store, they will have the correct ones. Carefully handle them by the contacts only, and install them as necessary. I would wipe them clean first with a clean terry towel, in the event that they were mishandled before you got them. When fully seated, attach the connector and you should be fine. Chances are that the right one died from wear and age. Ray

Well, I got the car back and both lights look OK. But the left light does not put any light on the road. Don't know where it's going but it sure isn't right. They will get it back Monday.

Even Pep Boys has a headlamp aiming machine.

I hate to say this but I can't figure out how to change it. Brought it back to the dealer this morning, I hope they do something with it.
