problems with my z28

I have a 96 Z28 and lately it has been giving me some problems. If I drive it for about 30 minutes and then stop, when I start it up about 20 minutes later it starts but it hessitates and idles very rough and sometimes stalls. It will do this for about 10 minutes with me having to keep giving it gas, after a while it runs like normal. It starts fine in the morning or when I havent driven it yet for the day. What could be wrong with it?

alot, lol, hard to say without having acutal diagnostic time on it. best bet, have it scanned for codes. your computer will probly give you the best info available to let you know whats wrong. im pretty sure you can do it with a paper clip to save money, but im not sure what terminals to use on a fourth gen camaro. but its the power, and another terminal. ill look into that for ya. but im gonna wait on codes before giving advice, just because there are so many things it could be, i dont want to steer you in the wrong direction. so my advice, is to take it to a dearership, pay the hour diagnostic fee to have it scanned (should be around 80 bucks) and go from there.

oh and another two cents, look into your ICM, your problems sound alot like what another guy was going through on here, and that was his problem.

If you have the stock air box and the stock 190 Deg. thermostat, your problems could be caused by underhood temps.
Say you drive the car around for 30 mins, the temp gets up around maybe 220ish or so..., then you shut down in a parking lot, and 20 mins later you go out to start it up. All the heat from the engine has soaked through everywhere, all the air under the hood is steaming hot, and all the air in your air intake box is cooking.
With all that hot air, you won't pull as much into the cylinders, causing it to run a bit rich (~hesitation)...
Don't ask me why this symtom last for 10 minutes, but mine used to do it, I swapped in a 160 deg. thermostat, and it never happened again. BTW, now my cars operating temp is about 170-180, not 210-220...
just something to consider...

yeah, man, 145 pound class. state ranked in VA till my coach dicked me over and i quit the team, worst desition ever, cost the team districts and lost any chance at a scholarship :( but anyway, on to you. if you are in the quick weight class, say, 103-160 then ist all about distraction (oh yeah, i wrestled everywhere from 145-189) make a few studder steps, always moving, circle to keep him steping, then when you shoot forward, you gotta be quick, on the way down, plant a hand into his shoulder between the neck and shoulder cup, to knock him up and back with your body weight on the way down. as he rocks back, get your other hand around an ankle, and step forward into him, as you move forward, swing the arm you pushed him with around and down to the other ankle, hold on, step forward and up, into his waist, he will fall backwards. gotta be quick man, condiisioning is key, i used to run three miles before practice, in less than 20min every time. morning conditioning on my own, then pre practice warmups, sprints, pushups crunches for 30min, then practice for 3 hours, then lifting for an hour after that. every day. now if your above 160, say the 172-189 group, the easiest way is to lock up head to head, and start circling, pulling him this way and that, side to side, so he will focus on fighting that side to side motion as he walks around in a circle, keeps his mind busy, so hes not thinking of what to do to take you down. then, use the forarm of the arm that is around the back of his neck, to ram him backwards, then drop your level, and as he regains his balance, shoot in on the legs. shoot your hands past his legs, and hook your arms around his legs at the knees, and drive forward into his hips. again, they will drop. if you are above 189, in the heavyweights, (im small so i concider 215 a heavyweight ;) ) then you are crazy to be diving under another 250lb guy who is going to fall on top of you, go sumo :)

Well doing Kung fu, jui jitsu and Brazilian JJ , Judo, Kempo, Aikido and some others. I found that Judo has great throws but when it comes to takedowns wrestlers are the masters...
Yeah well I'm 165 to 170 so I still wouldn't freaking try to double leg a 250 pounders....I'd just leg lock his ass....LOL
Thanks for the insight will try it out and let ya know how its going...

sweet man, good luck with that, ive wanted to try out SAFTA, which incorperates most of those styles into a single fighting style. its the navy seal combat system. probly wind up buying the tape and teaching myself. lol.

also, any particular reason you preferr the dubble leg takedown to the single leg? i mean, for wrestling doubble leg is great cuz it planst the opponent on his back, but in a fighting contest, it is better to be at your opponents back, which a fast single leg takedown will do foryou. i always used the single leg, cuz i was fast, and it worked for me. but hey, to each his own, i can tell ya how to do those too if your intereseted.

Thats cool bro...
I'm really into Shootfighting and wrestling which does the same... I can say this for sure..Muay Thai kick boxing is the greatest stand up there is...Simple, its brutal, and it works. Forget the fancy kicks all you need is to get kicked by MT guy and you'll see that TKD and Karate and kungfu is really not as effcient. If you have trainning experience its easy to learn on your own the problem I have is grappling with another person not everyone wants to grapple..

lol, well there is always the gay bar, or the local navy hang out ;) but yeah, muah thai kickboxing is nuts, but to do it, you have to be able to kick through a tree or something. my shins, not that strong. but as far as fighting styles, ive found it all depends on who you are fighting. like i spar with my bro, who does capuera and tai kuan do, and i wrestle, box, and street fight, so as long as he can keep me at a distance, he can get his licks in and do pretty well, but as soon as i get in close, its all over. just depends on what style works for ya.

That shin thing is a not a great idea... the best thing in the world is a leather heavy bag... You'll toughen up them shins in no time with min damage to yourself... that kicking trees is some crazy shit...
Thats the thing about grappling... once your in their ass is yours..( in that non homo way...not that theres anything wrong with that its just not me =Þ) Thats why i love shootfighting best of all worlds..
