i have a 91 crx b16 riding on eibach sportlines and tokico 4 way adjustables (for stiffness). i live in chicago and with the snow that we get here, this won't work for me in the winter. right now the car is so low that i have to drive it on to some blocks just to get my hydro. jack under it.
my question is....i want to be able to easily raise and lower it when needed. do i just need new springs, or just new shocks, or both?
any reccomendations?

might be able to use cheap coilover sleeves with the springs you have now. that would let you lift it fast

This isnt the easiest solution but it works. Why dont you just put stock springs on it for the winter and sacrafice the "looks" for the season? That would give you a safer and more snow friendly ride height.

the reason i don't want to do thatis because it is kind of a pain in the ass to take the springs off. you know, getting a spring compressor and all the extra work. i'd rather turn a knob or something.

If you have money, airbags would be a good investment. If not, then I really dont think that theres an easy solution. I dont think new struts would bring you back up a couple inches. Theres a guy on here named Jackasssi (I think thats how its spelled) But hes our suspension guru and Im sure he can help you out more than I can. Goodluck though.

how much should an airbag suspension cost me installed?

Too much.
Check out some Ground Control coilover sleeves with Eibach springs. You can get a custom spring rate for your application - engine swap/tokico's. That's about your best/cheapest option. Since you live in chicago salt/rust is a problem so you will need to cover the threads on the adjustment collar with anti-seize compound. They can become so rusted that the adjusting collar is frozen, so no more ride height adjusting.
Koni yellows only allow for 25mm(max) adjustment in ride height.
Personally, I think sportlines are no good for daily driving, get some non-adjustable springs like H&R or Eibach Pro-Kit, or maybe even some neuspeed's.
I am also near chicago.

so then are you recommending that i keep the tokico's that i already have and just get the pro kit springs? or swap out the whole system?

Depending how many miles are on the shocks/struts, I'd stick with those & get either Eibach Pro-kit or the Ground Controls(adjustable).
