Hi, i own a vn holden aero mock up, x cop car.
I was driving to work at night when my lights and dash
lights went out [ from driving over a bump ? ] im not sure.
Any ways , i pulled over motor still running, turned the lights
off and back on , but NO lights, a few seconds later on they come.
I took it to the shop, he replaced the light switch, but it is still doing
it, anyone have any idea what is going on ?

Check the fuse as it my be dead
Also check the connection between the lights and dash relays are firmly together and nothing worn through

I had exactly the same problem in my VP.
In my case the under bonnet headlamp relay contact points weren't touching the inside connectors all that well. Most likely due to wear and tear.
All I did was clean the prongs on the relay and then bent them out a little. Then I wedged the relay back into the tray. Bending the prongs out made it sit in more firmly.
Haven't had a recurrence since.
