Primer Removal

I put chrome door handles on my car. They had a glue tape backing and the maker gave me liquid clear primer to put on the handles before I put them on. But the problem is that some of the primer got on the outside part of the handle so there is a haze against the black paint around the handle. Is there any safe way to remove this without removing the paint? Washing did nothing.

Thanks

are you talking just regular old primer as in paint or some kind of adhesive? if its just some type of paint, you can use rubbing compound to rub it off the black and just stop taking material off when it's all gone

I think I'd be contacting the manufacturer or dealer. If it's the type of primer I'm thinking of, it may work by etching the finish and it may have actually damaged the finish.

Use a soviat cleaner, dont use liqure it will eat the paint. like jveik said, clean and buff, you dont want any chemical that eats paint so get soviat, it is used
to clean any wax etc,, before you paint the car. look to your local auto paint store for this. i think its called something like surfice and prepping cleaner.
