Gym talk?

Is it just me, or is the gym a place for people to make weird or stupid comments? :)

This morning, I overheard a guy behind me say,

"I must be getting old..."

then another guy next to him said,

"That's why I buy better whiskey and faster cars, I still get women that way."

I almost cracked up when I heard that one.

a couple of weeks ago I overheard two women talking,

"Yeah, MY fiancee is a fireman. You know, the kind that jumps out of planes!"

"Really?"

"Yeah! He's over in another state right now, but you should see the size of the engagement ring I have! It must have cost a fortune."

"Wow!"

My "Dumbass" alarm was going off like crazy with that one.

another time there was, again, an old guy in the gym. He was one of those guys who didn't do a damn thing right lifting and was probably there just for chicks. This is the greatest pickup line I've ever heard, doubly so because I knew the woman he was hitting on.

"Hey..."

"Oh, hi!"

"You know, I just got a new F350. It's parked outside, you wanna go see it?"

I about died laughing at that. You'd think he could come up with better after all these years.

Anyone else have any good stories to post of stupid comments they've heard?

Can't say I've heard anything like that down at the gym. Maybe I'm concentrating on my exercises to much and not paying enough attention to the conversations around me.

Iv never heard any lines like that at the gym I go to...and its a gym inside a country club.

My gym is downstairs on the ground floor of my house...

...The only stupid comments I get to hear are my own wondering why the hell I put so much weight on the barbell when I'm completing the 3 set of reps...

I bought a gym @ home partially for that reason...

I nearly fell doing squats with free weights when a female friend of mine walked past after an aerobics session... her slightly damp and pleasantly curvaceous figure completely blew my concentration and my spotter was distracted by her... It ended up with a barbell with a sizeable amount of weight resembling a caber and vaulting end over end causing mayhem...

Hehehe, I know that feeling, well not that exact one, but I've seen my fair share of pleasantly curvaceous women.

When I'm there, almost daily it seems, it's mostly just other guys there getting huge like me, just grunting and stuff, sometiems me and my buddy yelling at each other in Arnold tones to push that last rep.

However a lot of women have bene coming through lately (Univeristy gym) I guess Freshman 15 have finally set in, but there's the occasional uber hottie that comes around, actually the staff are almost all really hot, I love University.

Ya i havent heard very stupid stuff at the gym yet, but the worst pickup line ive heard is "Hey baby do you like math, well if you do, add you and me, subtract your clothes, divide your legs, and multiply." I dont think that one has ever worked.

i remember saying this to someone that i know who was at the gym with me....man one thing i hate about treadmills.....if a beautiful woman gets on the treadmill in front of you, no matter how fast you run, you'll never be able to catch up to her:sly::p
