Hello Everyone,
I hope that someone can help me out. Two weeks ago during our first snowfall I put my truck into 4WD HI. It worked fine. When the roads cleared up I took it out of 4WD....still no problem. Since that day I cannot get it to go back into 4WD HI. I hit the switch and nothing happens. 4WD low seems to be functioning normally but doesn't do me much good for driving. The green light for HI does flash when I put it into 4 LO but does not come on when I try for HI. I do not hear any ticking from the relay behind the glovebox either. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Bob

Did you try the Battery unhook for 1 minute then reattach? The control module for the transfer case has consant power, a couple of people have noticed that if you cycle the power to it will reset the logic.

That's what My 92 was doing I had to unhook the battery two or three times and after that it seem to be working great I've been putting it into 4 HI every day just to make sure it works and it goes right in My 2cents

I think that another part of the problem with these trucks the 4x4 only gets put on once it snows, Mine has 144000 miles on it and this past week was the first time I've ever had trouble with the 4x4. I always made sure to kick the 4hi in once and awhile in the summer. Just wondering how long has your 92 been working for you after you did the battery trick??
