In PROGRESS: 2F2F Evo 7

Hey guyz i just received my Evo 7 yesterday. Im basing it on the 2f2f evo 7. Since there are no manufacturers that make Motegi rims, im gonna use AVS Model 5's instead, and it will be a right hand drive instead of a left. I'll post pics of it when i get home.

I'm interested in how you will make the paint. I've seen a pic of the car, and it looks tricky, very tricky...

The paint will be a base coat of Alclad 2 Pale Gold and a candy coat of Alclad 2 Transparent Yellow. So far i've just painted the chassis and sanded the mold lines on the body. I've already made the decals, just need a few more manufacturer decals and then i'll email Bedlam Creations. Im trying to get pics, but my camera isnt working. Im also gonna scratchbuild the DAMD kit and remold it:smile:

The chassis looks good. The body kit is starting to look good. Just have to get in shape and smooth it all out. Nice progress.

He hasnt done anything with the body yet. He has just got most of the supplies needed for all the things.

why not start on the interior, the car from the film had a 95% box stock interior. it would be a good place to start me thinks. apex guages were the only mod inside.

I am starting to really hate this new image thing on AF, im not gonna paint it till i have the body kit done, but the paint is a mix of Alclad II Pale Gold base coat and a Transparent Yellow Candy coat. I'm custom ordering the decals from www.bedlamcreations.com (http://www.bedlamcreations.com)

Looks clean Henry. He is using my airbrush for his paint job, my airbrush works pretty well and i got it for free too. But i dont know how its going to work with Alclad, but will see later on.

BTW remember we you cant use my airbrush without the aircan.... :p

I cut off the front bumper yesterday, it was pretty hard because there were no panel lines to follow. The lines arent perfectly straight, but its all i could do. Pics will be shown when i get home.

I started working on the body kit a little bit, like the sides. I still need to wait for my friend to get his orders in stock so i can order my putty.

any new things happening? I'd like to see a color shot maybe. I'd like to get my hands on one of these to add to the series.

I'm new here. Actually I'm 35 yrs and haven't done any models since 1986. Recently I've bought a Fujimi Evo VII and done the DAMD front bumper. But I can't seem to get the color right. I've contemplated using the Tamiya Lime Green and Candy yellow but I've been to numerous places and could find the Candy Yellow. I'll try to post the pictures by tomorrow. I haven't got the decals though.
