Well, I just got back from seeing the last installment of the lord of the rings series... and all I have to say is... amazing.

If any of you are lord of the rings fans, I'm sure you heard about a select few theaters showing all three lord of the rings movies back to back... well I was one of the lucky people that got to see that
So... 13 hours of movie, back to back to back. It was awesome!
And on top of that, we got a collectors item after the movie... everyone was given three frames of the original 35mm film that the lord of the rings was filmed on... no two sets alike... so that's awesome too.
Anyway, I'm going to stop talking about how amazing an experience it was now... it's about 3am now, so is time I get to bed.

13 hours in a theatre? I can hardly sit through one movie without being insanely uncomfortable due to the luxurious seats.

Well they pretty much let us do anything, short of pitching a tent in the theater... we got some little wrist bands and could leave and come back as we pleased.
Still, with them playing the movies back to back like that, it really was like watching one big movie, with just a few breaks to refill my soda.

well i saw the movie las night at 12:01 and i loved it, it really was a good movie, best of the three, but it did have its downsides, Legolas and gimli were in the movie for like a total of like 10 minutes, and they really did'nt say much, also the spyder scene coulda been better, and it sucks that they took out so much extra footage to make it no more than 3 hours+ is was......i can't wait to the ROTK extended Dvd comes out, but yeah, incredible movie

yes... at the end of the movie a big THE END is actually on screen
there is deffinate conclusion to the series... as upsetting as that is, because they are such spectacular movies/books

wondering why legolas and gimli werent around for the ending myself. they are supposed to be. dont wanna say much in the way of spoilers, but they are supposed to leave with the last elven ship to sail away from middle earth, and they werent even there.

yea, i that was suppose to happen, it will most likely be in the extended dvd, to those people who think LOTR is over now, it is, but Peter Jackson(director) is planning on makeing the movie "The Hobbit" which will be the storys of Gandalf and Bibo before the ring came to them, wow i sound like such a goof, lol

the hobbit is a good movie....everyone needs to see it because that is the real begining of LOTR...i think it should stay as a cartoon and not have real actors in it......also i heard that in the theatre they were showing all 12 alternate endings

well, Gimli and legolas don't sail away with Gandalf, bilbo, frodo, and lord Elrond, according to the book, After the War of the Ring, Legolas journeyed with Gimli to visit the Glittering Caves and Fangorn Forest. In the Year 120 FO, after the death of Aragorn, Legolas sailed over the sea, taking Gimli the dwarf with him, the last of the Fellowship.
