will a jdm engine fit/work in my car 97 prelude

i need to get my car running i got the engine h22a but the wiring doesn't match up so i'm stumped any help is apreciated my brother blew my old engine he put a rod through the side

You probably have an OBD1 h22a from a 93-95 prelude vtec. You have obd2. They started it in 1996 (4th gen) and up into the 5th gen. Someone must have given you a 4th gen prelude obd1 h22a. Call a honda dealership and have them look up the engine code and they should be able to tell you what year its from (95 or under is obd1).
