Make it rear wheel drive and it will sell in the US.

1.0L 120HP? thats pretty damn good.

Most likely if it ever made it into production in the US it would be drastically (spelling???) changed from that version, who knows though.

Holy shit, 120 hp from 1.0???? Thats nuts. Why such a small motor?

The small motor is probably due in part of the small vechicle its put in.

this would be an awesome addition to the honda lineup, only if it were rear wheel drive, finally honda would have a direct competitor to the miata, dubbed the last 'real' sportscar, if they can do this for under 20g you would see one everywhere and honda would be a major player once again.

as far as 120hp from 1.0L wow, thats amazing, plus the small size of the motor would keep that weight so low, imagine the tuning possibilites.

120hp per liter...that would be something (granted its only 1 liter total, lol) But yeah i think if it were to be RWD it would make it a lot better.

that article is a few months old now ... ive been creaming my pants over that car since then. yea i wonder how eactly they manage 120 hp from only 1liter but hey thats honda for you. but i agree that those headlights are not really flowing with the car. i plan on checking with my dealership late 04 to see if they have plans to take orders for 05.

I wouldnt mind one as an extra car but more than likely my fat ass (and tall) wouldn't fit in it, lol.

comparitivly speaking ... this is an economy model of the s2000 ... with this assumption in mind i dont see why it wouldnt be RWD now that i think about it.

nother thing to think about, is that honda has a history of changing the body of most of the cars after 4 or 5 years ... 88-91, 92-95, ect ect so if they keep this up by the time we get the s1000 they might have changed to the body style to something more appealing which means everyone is gonna go JDM, new concept huh?

anyways thats just some random thoughts i have.

Sounds like the JDM Honda Beat. Nice little Kei car, but you don't really want to be monstered by other traffic in one

O/T large vehicles(mini vans larger mini vans-also called SUV's) should not be ALLOWED on the road with no less than 3 people. Whats the point of having that big ass thing for 1 or 2 people? To blind us with lowered cars? Thats a whole other thing, these headlights are getting ridiculously bright. Then you get these yahoo's with all types of fog/driving lights bouncin' all over & in your eyes.

:werd:

the worst of the bunch are the volkswagens. Instead of using real hid systems, they just add a shitload of reflective surface, and bump the wattage of their bulbs 3,000%. I hate those goddam headlights.

as for that prototype....pretty sweet...

120hp in a 2,000 pound car....would probably be similar to an HF crx with a z6 swap in it.

im with everyone else though....a kick ass rwd compact from honda...best of both worlds, fuel economy and drifting

FWD in a small package like that is easier to package. No tranny/drive shaft to worry about threading between 2 people. You can also play games with the rear suspension to maximize useable space in back. With that little power on tap, FWD shouldn't be too bad. I'll bet it's a hoot to drive.

ya my FJ1100 is a 1100cc or 1.1L its at 132 whp (not crank "wheel"). of course no smog and 4 carbs help that too.
