How big is this problem?
My 2000 Grand Prix has in the last 15 months had both front wheel bearings replaced as well as, in late October of this year, a transmission. As you can imagine the total cost was considerable. All of the repairs were outside of the G.M. warranty with the first bearing happenning at 68K and the transmission at 112K.
Am I alone with these specific problems for this amount of mileage or am I financing a G.M. problem child? Any other G.P. owners with similar issues?

3 problems in 112K miles and you are calling it a problem child??

What was wrong with the wheel bearings and trans??

Tks. For Your Response.
The Following Are Answers To Your Questions:
2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Gp
3.8 L
112,000 Km. ( Approx. 62,000 Miles)

@47,000 Miles, Right Front Bearing Wire Connected To ( Abs ) Breaks And Activates Abs Trouble Light. Require Replacement.

@49,800 Miles, Left Front Bearing Subjected To Excessive Wear And Activates Abs Trouble Light. Require Replacement.

@61,600 Miles, Blower Fan Resistor Assembly Fails. Require Replacement.

@ 62,000 Miles, Transmission Requires Rebuild.

Once Again, Are There Any G.p. Owners That Have Experienced A Similar Fate??

If So, Maybe There Is Something We Can Do With G.m. As A Group.

All those problems are not out of the ordinary for the GP. Doubt you'll get anything done about them though.

What is the normal life then let's say for the bearings. My car has 79k on the odo(same mileage the bearing have) and never they have caused problems to turn the ABS light. I am not sure if the Z-34 has the same ABS sensor and has 182k on the odo and never have been problems.
