hey there, i recently took my car to an autobody shop and it now has some problems. the radio wires do not power up my deck anymore, my trunk button to open it doesnt work, and my interior lights do not work. does anyone know how these problems are caused and how they can be fixed. i checked all my fuses and they are good so i dont know what to do, thanks for looking.

recheck all of your fuses, never hurts to recheck.

yea, check the fuse with a volt meter, sometimes it can be bad or blown without being able to tell with just looking at it.

i know for a fact that the trunk and interior lights are on the accessory fuse, cuz mine don't work either, and the fuse just keeps blowing within 5 minutes everytime, so I have a short somewhere.

hey thanks guys, but it didnt work with the fuses. i rewired my radio with a fuse though, the normal battery wire wasn't hooked up somewhere. so i got that working. i was now wondering if there was a harness or somethign in the car for the interior lights and trunk, thanks for the help

pull the carpet and the dash if you want to find that harness. but also something to think about, all of those things are conroled by the BCM, Body Control Module. if the bodyshop shorted something, it could have blown, and then all of those things would be acting up. so you might need a new one. also, you didnt say what work they were doing, but if they had to unplug it for some reason, and forgot to plug it back in, it would do the same thing. this one, you cannot solve witha paperclip if it is the BCM. you have to hook it up to a scanner. and it will be unable to communicate with the BCM, if it cant, you know thats the problem. i doubt its a rub-through on the harness with all of those things. it would more likely be a common plug or other point where all of those wires come together. aka, the BCM. thats what i would check first.
