rear wiper problems

I have a 2001 explorer sport and my problem is that the rear wiper no longer moves it just sqeaks. I have tightened the nut under the plastic cover of the wiper blade however after a while it is now stripped, and the wiper stopped working. How can i remove the stripped nut without damaging the post to the wiper? please help! thanks steve
