well here is the altezza, sorry about the crappy pic. it has 19 aoshima amistad v wheels, painted in toyota astral black. buggered it up a bit but will build a better one. it was my first fujimi kit.

Brilliant work, mate.

Very impressive! You've probably built more in 12 months than I have in 6 years!

Look forward to seeing more of your work next year!!

next year my resolutions are to build more complex models and take more time. perfection is an ultimate goal and i gotta push my self b4 i can ever achieve it.
Am in preperation for my enzo, for 6 months i have been gathering information and a studio 27 photo etch kit to make my best model i think, i hope you will all like it. its gonna have my personal traits in there to make it a little bit different. hehe

Great collection! I like to see so many personalized models, and to think all that work and progress was done in one year, impressive.

Now, if you could rebuild one of your earlier models using skills that you have now, which one would you choose and what would you do different? I always encourage new builders not to build their favorite models until they build a few for experience, that's why I ask. I have a few of my own that I built before my skills and techniques had been honed that I would like to do over.

Really! That's what I want to know. I probably couldn't build 5 models in a year even if I pushed myself. Well, I could, but not as nice as any of yours! That's really amazing, how many and how quickly you built them up, and how good the all turned out. From what I gather, this is your first year of model building? Amazing! I've been building for years and I still wouldn't dream of doing the body mods you go after!! Speaking of, any word on your widebody convertible RX-7?

I would like to say thank you for all the kind comments on my models. They spur me on so much. Thanks guys.

With regards to time i get to spend on my models, i dont realy get that much, only late evenings, im banned by my girlfriend from building when she stays over. so that leaves me monday to thursday. i dont sleep too well so i sometimes do 48hrs without sleep which leaves me time to do stuff from 11pm till 7 am!

but thats not too often, once a month mainly. I have honed my skills at breaking down a instruction booklet and finding similarities in colours etc which allows me to paint all relevent parts in one go rather than keep washing brushes etc. Its a habit that comes from my job as a project manager. i find i can control time i spend to be most efficent.

as to the question on what i would re build, i think it would be my mercedes dtm clk. i rushed it a lot after seeing a few cool cars and run before i could walk. the hood was a success tho, i still realy like it. it was the first modified car i ever built. my insperation. also i would love to rebuild my green 350z and my sas nismo skyline, all were early projects.

i feel my painting skills have come on so much, but that is experience and the god of paint "pman" cheers dude for giving me goals to attain!

of all the forums i have ever been on this is the best place ever, i love coming here every day and finding out what you guys have been up to or think of my work. :iceslolan

hope you like it, all the graphics were airbrushed on.

storage is at a premium at the mo for my models, but i have found a solution. not exactly a cheap one but a solution all the same. gonna have to buy 6 of these
http://www.ikea.co.uk/PIAimages/27487_PE094575_S4.jpg
they are from ikea and cost £55 in the uk, their name is "Glass-door wall cabinet BERTBY"

dimensions are
Width: 42 cm
Depth: 19 cm
Height: 170 cm
Max load/shelf: 3 kg

i think that i should be able to get two cars to a shelf or maybe just the one in some cases. but they will be protected etc.

joecwlaw
12-17-2003, 06:55 AM
woho, nice work man.

the ikea carbinet is cool, but be fragile, the glass is easy to come off.

Hiroboy
12-17-2003, 07:47 AM
Chris, The BERTBY is in the sale at Ikea in April 2004 if you can wait that long, That's what I'm doing, Check out the back of the Catalouge, I think it's £45 then

:ylsuper: Nice collection, not bad for your first year, also nice to see some of the mods youve done. Personnally I think the green 350 is the best.

chrismcgee
12-18-2003, 11:05 AM
cheers dude, the 350 is definately a car i might consider rebuilding again and making a more perfect copy. there is some crappy sanding that i didnt see before etc, but the wing seems to sit perfect on there!
