4th gen vtec models came in 190hp versions of the h22. 97 through 99 prelude base 5-speed and SH came with 195hp, the auto came in 190hp. the 00 and 01 prelude base 5 speed and SH came in 200hp, and the base auto came with 195hp. every prelude 97 and up came in vtec. torque is 156 lb ft. literally the torque "monster" of the honda 4 cylinder line-up. lol.

get a VTEC 92-96
they have 190 hp and the base manual is the lightest of all Lude VTEC's
IMO the 5th gen is wayyyyyy better looking
the 4th gen is too "triangle" for me hehe

You all seem to have forgotten the lowly "s" model. Not that it's really an option for most people looking for performance, but, he needs to be made aware that he might get an s, if he doesn't know what he's getting into. The S model prelude came with a F22a1 motor rated at 135 horsepower and 142 lb. ft. of torque. Be wary of this model, as it's slower than the shcoolbus you took to school every day. :lol2:
