Does anyone out there know if you can do any type of front/rear/side conversion on the CRX. Any model will do. And if you do, how hard is it to do or how good does it look? :naughty:

theres been a lot of show CRXs with different conversions, almost all of them come out weird lookin. theres one with chrysler sebring headlights and it looks good, it also has prelude taillights, and they dont look too bad on it. you should search for it

there are no kits so anything is really possible if you've got the money/skill

If you are going to do a headlight / tail light conversion, you have to some MASSIVE planning, or it will turn out really bad. You should be able to draw, or able to use photoshop decently well. So that you can make some concept drawings.

If you just want to get rid of the tail lights on the crx, and replace them with anything, (cause i do admit the stock lights look pretty bad), I would go with an 90-93 integra tail light conversion.

They sell some fancy lights on eBay for it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33716&item=2448338725

Those are nice, not ricey at all. My brother has them on his car they look sharp.

You'll have to chop up the corners of the rear bumper a bit, and round some stuff out with fiberglass. It probably wouldn't take that long.

I think the CRX with the RSX front just looked odd. Look at the side skirt, and the quarter panel flare, its totally uneven. Maybe they wanted it to look like that, i dont know.

Thanks. Do you have any pictures of that RSX conversion? If you do please post them. So those lights look pretty cool. IMO. :evillol:

crx was created the way it was because its right.... please do a search and look at all these "wack" conversions and you will realize that yes, they all do really look like ass.

Not entirely true.
If you want to do a conversion to a specific headlight / taillight or do some kind of widebody conversion that doesn't resemble a CRX, you can change other aspects of the body styling to make your design fit.

It just takes alot of time and ALOT of creativity...

then go ahead and prove me wrong.... i have yet to see any "conversions" look good.

body lines never match up and it never ever looks good, but if you think you can pull it off, power to ya :smokin:

im converting my civic hatch front to a CRX front, and also converting to 5th gen prelude tails. it fits, and looks good.

i know youre thinking "CRX front conversion? whats the difference?"
the difference is the corner lights, once piece bumper instead of the small filler piece between the bumper and headlights, and also, i think theres a slightly wider fender flare, but dont quote me on it, it just looks that way compared to my other civics.

and the prelude conversion, if time is spent to line everything up, does follow the body lines really well, and they even match the shape of the headlights better, in the same way that RSX headlights and taillights match each other.
