ok, i got a 91, TSI AWD Turbo about a month ago, and the first day i got it it started stallin out ( its an automatic ) so i get home park it, the next day it doesnt start, get it checked out by the shop...blown head...so i blew the head the first day..i was pissed....anyway..got the head rebuilt about last week..was running fine..

After i got the car back i noticed when it was running without hitting the gas it was only at 500rpms, and it would sometimes stall...i drove it and then yesterday i went to start it up..it wouldnt start..it sounds like it wants to, and it almost does but it doesnt. I smell a lot of gas and i have no idea what it could be...it reminds me of when i blew the head...but ive taken it easy just to break it in...any ideas of what it could be? Thanks for your time

my car is doing the samething and the place i had it checked out, said that i blew the head gasket... i have a 1995 esi... but when i tried to start it, it would try to turn over, but didn't turn all the way, so i'm in the process of replacing that right now, let me know if you find out exactly what is wrong w/ it, maybe i have the same problem

Ok...so i went to start it up the other day just to see if i could hear something..started right up...im thinking it could be bad spark plugs or wires, and since it was cold, could of had an effect..so im replacing those, but its running fine once again so im not sure...good luck with your talon
