help please

I have recently purchased a 1988 MR2. and am looking for some help, see if any of you have had some of the problems i am experiencing.

Replacement parts:
1) for a clutch should i use clutch masters, ACT, or OEM, realizing that this car will have alot more power eventualy?

2) Struts, i am looking for gas struts, more rugged then stock, but durable, what companies?

3)Brakes, Brembo slotted/cross drilled rotors, or is there something better? and pads EBC green stuff? or something else?

4) Cold air intake of some sort, less restrictive then stock?!?
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!:
whenever i push the cigarette lighter down it heats up but as its about to pop it blows the fuse. what could be causing this?

the car came from Montana and has ALOT of rust. in the places where it is feasable, how should i sand down the rust, 80 grit sandpapper doesnt seem to work.

are there any websites that anyone knows of to help me out?
