We have a winner. It is a chop, that's kinda why I put it in the exterior.. forum. I just wanted to see if you would all think it's real. It looks pretty damn real to me..

I live about 30 mins above charlotte (statesville) and a friend at school told me about an accord with a ferrari V10 engine in it. Now, I'm not even sure what model comes witha V10 if any. He said that while he was woorking at pep boys, a 2003 accord pulled up looking to buy some new headlights. We wanted my friend to install them while he was there and when he popped the hood my friend was like holy sh**! Now of course when he told me this i didn't believe him at all. He described the accord to me, and one day while driving to go out to eat in charlotte, i saw an accord that looked exactly like they way my friend described. I rolled down my window to try and "hear" it. (ferrari's always have a distinctive sound) and it sounded just like one. The exaust was routed so crazy and low that you could see it going down the road. I tried to get him to punch it by driving next to him and kinda tapping my gas, but he wouldn't do it. When he finally took an exit, he gave it a little gas and you could really hear it. Now, i can't say that this mysterious V10 accord is really true, cuz i haven't seen it under the hood with my own eyes. But if what my friend says is true, and from what i heard it is possible. My friend said that the kid was rich and his parents already had a ferarri, and he took the engine out and got a custom shop to chop it in. i just don't know why its not in a magazine yet if its true.......

Whenever I hear stories like this I always imagine how great it would be if it were true...but why would anybody ever use so much time and energy on a project like that??? Anybody with that much money and time on their hands needs to be slapped silly!
Its gotta be another Import Urban Ledgend.
But if by some odd chance tis true, give me directions to this city, I have a heist to plan. :evillol:

I can think of a lot of reason to do that. You would be the only one, you could prove your skills as a mechanic and engineer, you would have a fantastic sleeper assuming you change more than just the engine, you would be a shoe in at car shows. ect. To bad its just a photoshop

All true. I guess if someone were to have enough money to transplant a V10 into an Accord, they would have money to do sensible things at the same time.
Up Next: V16 Turbo Deisel Miata!!! :evillol:

Ferarri makes V8s and V12s but not V10s....just thought I'd clear that up....and just out curiousity...why would you put a motor worthy of beign worshipped in a car that can barely hold a respectable skidpad number....put it in at least a GM sports car....instead of a compact.....not only is it too heavy but the power is just too much for a FWD vehicle to handle...

Name: Paolo Martinelli
Nationality: Italy
From Ferrari's home town of Modena, Martinelli grew up surrounded by the company's influence. He wanted to become an engineer and won a place to study mechanical engineering at the renowned Bologna University from where he graduated in 1978. He immediately joined the Ferrari company and worked his way up through the engine design and development departments to become head of engines for Ferrari production cars.
In 1994 he was put in charge of Formula 1 engine design and immediately instigated an investigation into the relative merits of a V8, a V10 and a V12 engine. The team eventually decided that the V10 was the best compromise and the company began running V10 engines in 1996.
...all of that came from the unofficial ferrari website, but upon further research youll find that ferrari has produced hundreds of V10's in F1 cars, concept cars, and even a few production cars.
as for a 'GM sports car' being a better base for an engine like that is not a swallowable explanation. any rear wheel drive car would be a fine base...why not put a ferrari engine in an S2000 or NSX? both rwd hondas turning skidpad #'s comparable and even better than what gm has to offer. im not trying to get into another import domestic war, but dont get on and talk shit. especially being a newbie.
the only answer thats worth repeating is ricochets...because they can...
