Hi..i just bought the tamiya basic putty recently, the grey one. i tried filling the seams but it doesnt seem to be help, when the putty dries, the seams can still be seen. How do i need to do it right? i applied it straight of the tube.

They way how you use basic putty to get rid of seam line is like followings.
File the gap along the seam with a metal file or nail file while not leaving too much scratches. When the gap is fairly small, apply basic putty in a small amount at a time. If that doesn't fill the gap, apply another thin layer, and wait for the putty to dry. Unless the gap is really big (say bigger than 1.0 mm) two layers of putty should be able to fill the gap. Keep the amount of putty minimal, so that the solvent of the puty won't open a hole on the plastic.

also, use a piece of cardboard or a similar flat surface to apply the putty over the lines, in order to get it even etc...
