i just got a 91 Civic Si for free from my mechanic. The Car Was Stolen Then Recovered. It has a new stock motor in it and has a aftermarket exhaust with bent mandrel piping. i'm ready to do a swap and i'm looking for a motor with neck snapping torque and lots of top end power and i want to know what set-up is good. and should i use forced induction TC or SC. My friends told me to go with a ls/vtec and turbocharge it but i heard the ls/vtec was overrated and my brother told me to go wit a crvtec but i dont kno what that is. and my mechanic told me to go with a CTR or ITR motor. and my pops told me to put a muscle motor in it but he's hates imports so i didnt pay attention to him so what should i do. and what tranny should i go with....

5.0L is not a 327, its a 302-305
Go with the V8 if you want "neck snapping" power, this will require loads of custom work.
More like how much money are you gonna spend?

I doubt you could a V8 swap for that amount, or at least do it right. Rear-engine RWD would probably be the easiest, not that it would even be close to easy.
For that money stick with Honda stuff
