How tell a JDM H22 or USDM H22

How do you find out if i payed or H22 JDM and Not H22 USDM
Has any one every looked in to that or any one know more about these Engines.

well jdm motors just say h22 and usdm say h22A. Usdm motors but more letters on their motor (example jdm b16,b18/usdm b162(?don't remember),b163(del sol or SI)b18b(ls)b18c(GSR)b18c5(ITR) I hope this helps.

JDM motors don't use the number at the end, so it will be a H22A, not a H22A4 per say. B16A, as opposed to B16A2, A1, A3, A4 etc...

aight my question is just bout the same....

so if the engine code is B18C and it'sa JDM engine then that should be the ITR right? so what would the JDM GSR engine code be if they don't used the numbers to differentiate the C1 from the C5?????

well I not sure but I think that it's the same as a usdm which is b18c5 plus the val cover would be red because it an ITR. B18c or b18b would be black. And yes some could change the val cover. :sly:

o tell the differences betweem a GSR and an ITR is easy two things to look for, one is the intake manifold, the GSR's folds under...

Also on the ITR you can look for the head stamp on the left side, it is a PR3-3.

Got The JDM H22A And i got the car back monday night and Every thing look Good. Only thing is not hook up for some reason is Cruise control. It turns on when i press the switch but it won't hold. Any one know what need to done for manual tranny to work with the cruise cause it was hooked up to my AUTO tranny before i got the swap done.
