Deer/Bad Luck

Let's talk about some bad luck....Well about two months ago I hit a deer in my 2000 Civic and basically the deer messed my car up real bad. the front bumper needed replaced, Left Fender, Hood, Left Headlight, Much Engine Damage. It came to about $3,000 total for repairs. In a way, I sort of lucked out because my insurance took care of the expenses. Also, I was giving the opportunity to purchase aftermarket parts for my car, so I bought a Invader Style Carbon Fiber Hood(VIS), Halo Projector Headlights. Could of got a bodykit, Z3 fenders but didn't feel like getting them for some reason.
Okay, so I got my car fixed with the hood and headlights. My car looks great. Not even two weeks go by of having my car fixed....BAM...I hit another deer! OMG...Considering its winter time and its been snowing I was driving about 15mph and all of sudden this deer jumps in front of my car. There was nothing really I could do, so I slammed on my brakes and the deer hit the left side of my front end. I thought for sure my hood was toast along with the headlights. But I was sorta lucky because the only thing was damaged was the Left Fender(Once again!) and the left headlight was pushed in a little bit. The deer laid on the road twitching like crazy, I was irate at this point wanting to kick this deer but I have a heart so I didn't. But a passerby stopped and asked if I needed help but I was fine. So the deer regained to its feet and attempted to walk but kept falling over due to its possible broken leg and shoulder? So the guy said the deer is going to die anyway so he got a aluminum bat and clubbed this deer in the head until it died(Sad.... :( )

I'm sorry man, that sounds like hell.

I have had some strange experiences with deer before.

I was driving with a friend, and a deer jumps out in front of the car, so he slams the breaks, and the deer gets across the road ok, but then seconds later, the deer is running along side the car, runs ahead of us, and cuts us off again! So once again, Slams the breaks, and were like yelling out the window, 'Watch it *******!" :rofl:

I'm sorry, just a funny story.

Hitting a dear, and having to kill it afterward is just horrible. But around here, people would consider that a 'nice kill'. :uhoh: (Lots of hicks)

yeah man that sucks sorry to hear about that lol. That would piss me off sooooo bad. Reminds me to go slower now on some of the deer-infested roads around here!

A buddy of mine was out hunting one time, and had a good shot at a deer just as he was loading up to go home, so he took it. He missed (the deer got spooked) and the deer took off into a corn field. Instead of calling it quits or taking another shot, he jumps in his beater Dakota and chases after it. Ends up running the thing down, putting a huge dent in his right front fender from where the deer tried to headbutt the truck, and a few cornstalks up in his engine.

God I hate deer. Their dumber than a box of rocks. :screwy: Almost killed me many times on my bike and have hit a deer in my car before. Didnt jack up my car but I made that deer jump like 10 feet high. It was more funny than scary. Its like they wait for you to go by and then run out in front of you and just stay there. :disappoin Whats up with that?

wow that's tough dude. deer are totally autistic. 3 weeks ago, I was in my friend's ls integra. This car has 220k miles on it and everything is original down to the clutch. we were cruising down a 2 lane road in the middle of nowhere going about 50, when all of the sudden we hear this loud ass bang and the car jerks. my friend jams on the brakes and we get out and check what happened. about 30 feet behind us a deer is laying in the middle of the road. We look at the car and the rear fender has a huge dent in it. The deer ran straight into the side of the car and got clocked. We called the police and they had to call animal control and they had to kill it. it was so messed up.

jmnastee00civ, that really sucks man but you gotta admit you'll be laughing about it with your buddies in a few years. I don't know if I could watch some dude beat a deer to death with a bat though.. I'd tell him to do it after I leave.

Yeah...I'm once again to luck out...I'm able to get New Headlights(One is busted-Halo Headlight-Don't feel like replacing so I'm buying a new set.>Check my post in the Lighting Forum-Not sure on what to get?) Also...It does suck, but is funny cause its my 2nd time hitting a deer in my Civic... Deer don't like my car...LOL. But it was sad watching the deer get beat....Ewwe the sound of the bat hitting his skull...Oh it was bad :-( I'll be sure to post up pictures when my car is done.

Those are bad ass, Are the lights on completely? Or is it daylight? I'm selling my Halo ones. About 2 weeks old, the only thing wrong is...Left has a broken mounting bracket, I guess it can be fixed. But the right one is fine. I will include the Sylvania Silverstar H1 bulb(unopened product) for additional price i paid over $40 for them. Look at the pic I have on the first post(those are it) I'm thinking of selling them for about $75-$100 or more including the bulbs, contact me at [email protected] or on AIM JNasteeSPINman.

oh man you didn't have to add the extra comment on the sound of the bat hitting the skull... I hate killing things. that really sucks about your car but at least you are ok. around here several people have been hurt in deer related incidents. one lady freaked out and swerved off the road instead of hitting the deer and got hurt pretty good.
