hey, im looking for a good steering wheel that weighs almost nothing. I seen some square ones by MOMO but that shit is ugly. I want a round one and the lightest one any company has. Does anyone know of any good steering wheels? Also, does anyone know how much weight would be reduced my getting a racing steering wheel? thanks, a lot.

I thought it actually takes away about 50lbs of weight from your car. That air bag weighs a shit load.

just kick your front bumper really, really hard with the car running... then change your pants...

there should be about 4 bolts to pull on the backside of your sttering wheel this will let it come out of the wheel, then unhook the wiring harness running to it. Now i am making no promises whether this will blow up or not. i will look into it more this evening and post back.
Edit>>> As long as you unhook your battery from the system before you begin there should be no way for the bag to deploy.
