Well rather than make a bunch of useless progress threads, I'll just tell you what i've been up to here. As you can see I'm building a lot of different types of models. Feel free to comment on each or all of them.
First off this is a Tamiya Porsche 959. Its a twin turbo flat 6 with AWD. Gonna be gold. Here you see the three tone red, maroon, and black interior. Stock everything, nothing special here.

Next up you have a VIP Toyota Aristo. I added a front lip and rear Whale Tail spoiler. It will be anthracite metallic, with a grey/black interior. I am unsure which wheels to use. A are the wheels that came with the kit 19", B are the modified Amistads I worked on 19" and C are the stock Amistads 18", and my last option not listed D would be to buy a different set of 19s. What do you guys think??

Lastly here is a Jeep CJ5. It is the Dukes of Hazzard Daisy Dukes Kit. Im building it for a friend of mines Girlfriend. (shes paying me too) Its gonna be lifted and green with a tan top. I'm adding fender flares (seen on driver side so far) a full roll cage, and like I said im lifting it.

Good variety. And I definitely think that the modified Amistads are the most tasteful route.
Though VIP isn't exactly about what's most tasteful, is it?

Cool projects. For the Aristo, I think you should go with the B's.

A 4-door, a 2-door, and a 0-door. Diverse selection.
Go with B. That's the way the Amistad D should look. Aoshima screwed up on that wheel. Admiration doesn't even make a non-dish version of that wheel in 1:1.

Looking good. Can't wait to see that 959 completed.
As for the Aristo, I'd do B, although I am fond of these tims Andrew Golt Dishes (http://www.gpsports-na.com/aero/type4_s15_fr_lg.jpg) *warning, big picture*

Those are the stock wheels with the tamiya kit. Are you building the testors one? it has the disc like wheels correct? Wheel you can try some mesh wheels from a gt car like the revell corvette, those would look nice! Good lluck with the build!
THanks again everyone!!
