Has anyone installed a aftermarket sunroof to their tahoe and how much did it cost? I am a little skechey on doing it but it was the only option i wanted and I didn't get.

I would of liked a sunroof, supposedly aftermarket ones are good. I wouldnt attempt the job myself. I looked into putting one in my Silverado and it was 750.00 at the time (2 years ago). Let me know if you go for it. I cant afford it as i just bought 2004 tahoe rims and tires for my 2000 old body style Z71. Id rather have the wheels than a sunroof, they are nice tho.....

I had a sunroof put in my 99 Tahoe by a professional company that caters to dealers and I love it. It's been 2 years and no problems at all, not to mention a lifetime warranty by the company. I paid $1200 which is what they charge a dealer, because of someone I know, reg. price is $1800.

I install aftermarket sunroofs for a living. It is a big job, but for an experience installer about a day is normal. We put in Hollandia sunroofs 744s in the GM vehicles. The install should be nice and clean DEPENDING on who you have do the job (about $1200) When my company does them (Classic Soft Trim) we use most of the original headliner and we do save the console. there is now wiring modification. But understand that the install is NOT Factory. there will be some differances. In my own vehicle I would go with the HOllandia sunroofs., not the ASI sunroofs.
