My friend is doing a LS/vtec swap on his integra and he was wondering if he should purchase a JDM 1st gen b16 head to put into integra or if he should get a JDM b16a a2 a3 head to put into his integra...
so my question is does the extra 10hp come from american emission restrictions the block design or the head design?

as well as different pistons and intake manifold.
as for your friend, he can probably find a 1st gen head for a little cheaper and he can throw a set of ITR/CTR cams in there.

my buddy has a B16A3 from a 94 del sol VTEC.
It has PR3 pistons.
It has a PR3 head.
the cams are different and intake manifold, thats about it.
