Spark plug wires!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone had a spark plug wire deteriorate? If so, what caused it to go bad, and how can it be corrected to minimize this problem? I just had one go bad, and it was not cheap to get it fixed!!!!

most times this is caused from excessive heat...try shielding the heat.

I too had that same problem with my 1996 Z34. Took it to the dealership to reapair $450....don't think so......traded the car in 3 days later.

We got rid of the Monte Carlo for a 4wd 4dr Blazer. It is kind of hard taking our dogs up north to my families cabin in a Monte Carlo.
