Would you trade for 99 honda DX with no motor with 109000 on it for a 1987 Rx-7 Turbo II with 106000 miles on it plus 1500 bake in cash.

I took a non turbo 87 RX-7 for a spin once, holy shit that was a fun drive. I can only imagine how much fun a turboed one would be

I'd be wary of getting a rx-7 as a daily driver. Those turbo rotary are quick motors, but are probably some of the most unreliable ever made. Go talk to the guys in the rx-7 forumn, they will be the first to tell you that.

NA RX7's are one thing... they are not terribly bad for reliability. i used to drive one on the street and it was pretty fun. not good in winter conditions and not as practical in an all around kind of way though, plus they are getting pretty old. i would say a TII RX7 would be best kept as a fun car not a daily driver

I know your engine went bad on you... why don't you just throw a short block in it and let it go at that?

I dont know kind of tired of civic's now I dont have the funds to fix them up. I really thinking about putting a d16y7 in it then selling it and get a dsm awd turbo something. Dont get me wrong I still Love Civics and think they are the best car made. Just I want something a little faster out the box and with the sell oh my civic I will have money to mod the car after I buy it

Not considering the make/model - I would choose RWD before FWD any day. The only advantage I see to FWD, is snow/wet traction. Buy 4WD/AWD if your worried about that.

if you think you can cheaply mod either an NA or turbo RX7 you might be sadly mistaken... be careful those can get a bit expensive to mod. I hear god things about DSMs though there are quite a lot of them around and not too terribly expensive
