Tachometer installation...

Hey again. I've figured out which blue wire i need to hook the tachometer up to, it runs into the back of a plug, which plugs into the back of the guage cluster. My question is this, since I am not going to hook that blue wire up to a tach in the gauge cluster itself, but a seperate tachometer, couldn't i just pull that blue wire out of the back of that plug? Or would it be better to cut it and leave a little sticking out of the back of the plug just incase i need to hook it back up for some reason?

Just use a wire splice connector. It will clamp on to it along with the wire from the tach, then if you ever want to remove it, it will still be attatched.
