All GTR's are claimed by Nissan at 278hp or 280ps. However that isn't exactly true in real life.

As dynoed from a local tuner that I use.

R32 GTR 290hp
R33 GTR 296hp
R34 GTR 320hp

2003 M3 268hp

On the strip that same M3 managed to get down to a respectable 13.9 completely standard.

I managed a 12.81 with only pod filters and exhaust done on my car that day. My top speed was better by 9mph also. I raced the M3 4 times and averaged over 1 second quicker everytime. My R32 GTR was making 325hp with standard boost of .85 bar or 12.3psi. Moppie was there and also took him for a blat down the strip also so he can confirm this also.
The fact my 60 foot times would have been way better as I am able to launch at full power vs trying to get off the line without too much wheel spin on the M3.

Given those numbers 4.5 from 0-60 mph isn't possible. It would be more like 5.4 to 5.2 seconds.

no seriosuly it is that fast the new my come stock with 333bhp

and 0-60 is around 4.5 -4.9 sec the stge 2 has 0-60 in just 4.3 seconds
top speed of 201 mph iv driven many cars in my life but the new m3 is something else never felt so much power we hit 150mph in it on i20 and that was impressive and that was when we had the limiter on it now we dont but its fast

might take it to the track next week ill let yall no how it goes

M3 has 333 BHP!!

And I've got over 350hp at the wheels! Not to mention 4wd for launching yet those claimed times are from a 2wd on street tyres? yea right.

As I've said. I've raced one on the strip. I killed it by well over 1 sec everytime.

well thats also stock the one im talking about its almost a stage 2 with almost 420bhp not you do have the 4 wheel drive yes i will admit that
it is better and you do have a chance but i havent seen many cars with that kind of preformance also the chip for the car helps it gain over 80bhp the chip is well over 3 grand made by dinan the exuast made by dinan and the lighter wheels helps a lot the 0-60 should be around 4.3 secs or faster depending it on the driver

one ? how much is a stock skyline gtr running for if you get it imported as a show car

Actualy Vince the M3 you raced at the strip was not being driven by its owner, although the driver was very experianced. The owner couldn't get the car out of the 15s, so he let the guy who was driving the stipped out N/A EG Civic give it a few runs, (the little red one running 13s or something stupidly fast) however it was his first time in the car and he only made a few runs with it. Talking to him afterwards (hes a friend of Erics) he said he was sure he could have gone a lot faster but lacked experiance in the car.
Of course this clearly shows that while the M3 is fast, its obviously a bitch to get of the line cleanly, also remember that it has 13 years more techology packed into it, by a more experianced manufactor than your GTR, and Im sure in the right hands it could be faster. However I believe it to be a much harder car to extract its maximum performance from, and the GTR is a believably more forgiving beast.

However all the tests Iv seen for the M3 put it in the mid 5 second bracket, Im not sure where the mid 4s come from, that is a territory populated by only a very small number of cars.

the 4 mids come from the stage 2 which is almost 80bhp higher then the stock m3

ok guys...here goes...
i am a new member to this site however not to the import car scene... i live in ...be prepared for this..St.lucia..a tiny exotic island in the western hemisphere loated less than 3hrs from the bahamas via any caribbean island hopper. 99% fo the cars here are japanese imports and as you may already imagine the skyline gtr reigns supreme in the form of an R33'96..but here goes...as you all would know this car is indeed expensive and rumour has it that the owner of the lone 11sec. 1/4 mile beast deceived the masses in fact...it is rumoured that godzilla is a godzukee sent to the gymn and pumped on steroids...not to mention the plastic surgery. To those of you i have lost it is an R33gts25t 96 model wearing gtr skirts, badges etc...the owner usually secretive about "what's under the hood" made his mistake. absent was the tell tale twin turbos beefy2.6 and the other emblems present on the holy grail of jpn's street racing..it was a gts-25-t yeah running nos with the single turbo...dont get me wrong the car is a legend back home...but its no gtr...which brings me here i am lookinng for a gts25t r33 97 shell...no engine..(i have plans on creating the devil himself)where can i search and how much do you guys think i would have to put out in us currency.
thanx hope to hear from you people out there!

Drop $4500 for a used 4x4 jeep cherokee (4.0 inline 6), for $3500 bore it over from 4.0 to 4.9 (now you are at 350 horses), add twin turbos (good god i dont even know), drop it in 4 high and blow the doors off almost anything that crosses your path GTR... M3... i have talked to a couple people that have done it. they were bad. yeah, yeah i know, diehard skyline fans will argue with me about japanese technology, the topic of this chat, a new-comer, etc... but, i do know what im talking bout. as much as i hate to admit it, yes. a gtr could devastate my trans, but, you throw a few grand into a cherokee, good luck...

Tell ya what mate. We'll take these two vehicles, your used 4x4 cherokee and my used GTR. Spend the same amount on each one in dollar amounts. You can spend the money as you feel fit.

When we are done we race for titles. I wouldn't mind owned on of these here.

This is the sort of mornic thinking that will only get flamed off the boards. Of course you throw enough money at anything it will a good performer. You have to realise though of what you are saying. I've done shit all my car, pod filter, exhaust, intercooler, and remapped factory ecu and I am already on 450hp. I doubt even with 550hp your cherokee which would out weight me by nearly a ton would even come close to the same performance. That isn't what they were designed for in the first place. Take it off road and ok now it is in its own.

You crack me up

oh, was curious...
95 jeep cherokee sport - 3100 lbs (4 wheel drive and everything)
94 R32GT-R - 3668lbs (V-Spec is 3306 lbs, and you might have done some weight reduction, i dunno)

I hold nuthin against ya dude, you seem pretty cool and know what you're talkin bout. Badass.
