bs or not??

Hey you guys know what's up with eclipse an shit obviously so I wanted to run this by you... My friend has a 99 eclipse GS and he claims that he is having this guy redo his whole block only (no head work) with a turbo running 20psi as a daily driver safe etc. He said he will push some where around 420 to 500whp and he will run a 10.8 quarter. He also said it will cost 11,000 but with no head work, stock plugs, stock injectors and stock plug wires etc. Now. what do you guys think? is this bs or not? I want to believe him but damn that just doesn't sound right at all... you guys know eclipse so you tell me. ?

yea I hate to say it as well and doubt my friend because i'm sure the guy did tell him that. I know he wouldn't lie to me like that so I just wanted to get others opinions because I don't want him to get jerked off and spend 11 grand. He said the guy that was the head crew cheaf for the sport compact aem or some name brand sponsored car, but it was a caviler or somthing. That's who is doing the work is what he said. I just hope he isn't wasting his money but I think he is about to.. big time.

500whp and stock injectors wouldn't work

to get a FWD to do 10.8 in the 1/4 mile would be on 20psi, and a stock fuel and ignition system is inpossible!!! i have a RS that i turboed and i run 20psi and i have both my block and my head completely done, except i wanna get the head ported and polished but anyway i think i would be lucky to run a high 12 to low 13 on slicks (i'm guessing more towards the low 13!) so it is definatally BS!!! ;)

oh yea and by the way 500hp on a 420a.... GET REAL!!!

damn I didn't believe it for a second either guys but I was hopeing in some twisted fucked up way it was possible for my friends sake, but obviously it isn't. He's gonna get ripped and no one can tell him different. Ok thanks for the input :)

Yup Bullshit.... and for 11 grand you can get a used gsx and do many mods...........
