Sythetic tranny fluid

I changed the tranny fluid with Valvoline Max-Life right after I bought it but now I see where Mobil 1 has a sythetic tranny fluid out. I use synthetic motor oil in my two newer cars to get the most life out of the motors but it seems to me that the tranny would benifit from it the most since the trany fluid stays in much longer then motor oil. I take good care of my autos, got 220,000 out of my Bonniville and my work car has over 200,000 on it and still gets 25-27 miles a gallon. Would the synthetic tranny fluid be of any great benifit?

Just like the motor oil, it is more resistant to heat and breakdown. Mobil 1 is excellent stuff, I am going to use it on my next change. I think it can only be a benefit to the trans. Some people think that if it's synthetic, they can leave it in forever. That's not good. I still change my oil(Mobil 1)every 4k. Yeah, it's expensive. No internal engine or trans problems......priceless!

I think Ill change it this spring then with the Mobil 1. I use Castrol Syntec 5W30 in both my Aurora and the wifes Pontiac Montana, change it every 5,000 miles in both vehicals and use Fram Tough Guard oil filters. I wish Castrol made a synthetic tranny fluid but I couldnt even find the regular Castrol tranny fluid the last time I changed the fluid, thats why I used the Valvoline Max-Life. Oh well, anything that keeps my engines and transmisions running longer is worth a little extra money in my books.
