Oil filter mount

I got my engine back last night after being rebuilt. This is a ridiculous question I know, but there are 2 nozzles coming off of the oil filter mount and I'm not sure where the mount should be positioned. I believe the short nozzle goes to a waterline that mounts on the block. I cannot find this in my Chiltons anywhere. If my above assumption is correct then I have the location figured out. Nearly everything is marked on the car but I don't know where these nozzles go and how to position them. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Are you refering to the "sandwich" oil cooler there? If so one line goes to the hard line running up behind the turbo to the water neck. The other one goes to the large front water pipe. Its all connected with 2 short rubber lines, so position so it can all hook up. Be very careful not to overtighten that stud that holds it in. Its VERY easy to crush that POS, which will cause oil and coolant to mix. I usually refer to it as the oil mixer more often than an oil cooler. ;) I believe the spec is 20 ftlbs. See the vfaqs, someone did a write up on a washer that fits behind it so you cant crush it. Also be aware that if that comes loose, you can lose a motor, or at least induce crankwalk. Dont ask how I know ;) Hope that helps.

That is exactly what I am talking about. Can I put some lock tite on there so it doesn't come off? I can see where the one line is that goes behind the turbo and up around the thermostat housing area. Where does the second one go? You said the large front water pipe???
Thanks

You can use loctite for sure. The trouble is if there is still oil slowy creeping out of that housing, it will screw with the loctite. Either way, make sure you read that vfaq I mentioned if its still there. That other coolant line connection is on the large front water that goes from the pump, to the lower radiator hose on the pass side of the car. The connection will be tough to see perhaps if the exhaust manifold and turbo are installed. Look under/behind/between the power steering pump/alternator. Its in there :)

I figured it out. The mechanic gave me some bad info and it just didn't make sense. Very clear once it all came together.
