What is your favorite food?
(ok, i know this isnt the most exciting thread, but its a slow work day.)
Mine is a Chicago hot dog. I eat at least 3 a week. Chicago is the only way to have hot dogs, aside from chili and cheese which is second best if your out of Chicagoland. And ketchup is forbidden, of corse.

Ketchup is the only good thing to put on a dog besides chili and chese. But ONLY if it's Heinz. It's all about da Burgh.
I doubt this thread will "fly" for long b/c of its nature, but I'll let it go for now. I like all sorts of stuff, but I've been on a giant PB&J kick for the last week or so...

I think Tex-Mex. It's part of Texas culture. Not all of us are rednecks either!

I'd have to elect that the peasant foods of France, Italy, Spain, Southern China, Viet Nam and Thailand as the ones I enjoy the most.
And I don't mean peasant foods in a derogatory sense - these are the foods that the working populace consumed, they aren't flashy but they contain simple, fresh ingredients readily available in the region coupled with the flavourings reflecting the climate, ingredients and tastes - all being able to be cooked quickly and simply.
