really funny story...

ok, i posted this at the bottom of one of my posts in the turbo spot.. didn't know there was a board for this, so ill post it here! :)

a few nights ago i was driving around covington (near new orleans for anyone wandering) and just happened to pull up to a light alongside an 88-91 civic hatch...this car had a bolt-on muff -for anyone who knows the exhaust on those civics bends and comes out the left side, his was on the right, guess he bent the pipe?- and as i later found out (im guessing) a 50 shot or something. anyway, he revs up and me and me being in a BONE STOCK 98 civic EX i just ignored him... who trys to race a stock EX?! (no bolt on muff, no rims, NOTHING) well he took off, but didn't go very fast at all; lol. so i thoght hey, wtf i can beat this guy!! we get to the next light and i put down my window and he puts his down (hehe, love power windows, just watching him have to roll his down was funny) and i tell him ill race his dumb ass this time, so he revs up and i just shake my head, put my car at about 2k rpm when the light went yellow on the other side and droped the clutch on green. well, at first we are like right on top of eachother (1st gear) then by the end of 1st, when he shifted i was only at 5k RPM by time i was about to hit 3rd i was at least a 1/2 car in frunt of him, when suddenly he just FLYS past me --damn, i thought i was gonna win my first race... :sly: well, he gets about 2-3 cars in frunt, i startded to back off, and you hear something like this--- PIIIINNNG (metal hitting metal), THHHUSSSSHHHH. and smoke flys all out from under his car!! :eek: i backed off really fast and me and my girlfreind are like dieing laughing. well, we turned around to see if he wanted a ride or needed to make a phonecall or something and when we get there he is like, HAH, I BEAT YOUR PUSSY EX!! :sly::screwy: needless to say we left him there.



as a side note- an LS1 can be beaten.. and by a stock EX no less!!!!! dont beleave me? well, ask the guy that lost controll of his car on the line (raining) and hit a tree!!!!!!! (no, i didn't try to race him, he just took off fast lol)

thats also what happens when you drive an old car with a tired motor (no offence :smile:) anyway, i drove a 90 hatch DX, i fryed the piston ring home from UNO one day lol. ...now i have a 98 ex... not really what i wanted.. .more what i could afford LOL. (300ZX twin burns sooooo much gas :smile:) old civic is still sitting in my yard! hehe, turbo 98ex or 90? ...well, turbo and STRIP the 90 lol. -ok, i acctually have no use for the damn thing and i cant sell it... grr. anyone wants a $300 1990 civic DX 5-spd PM me.

Kinda like when I raced an Audi A6 on the freeway. They started first, I was catching up but he had the lead.. I slowed down, he kept going (into a known speed trap) and got pulled over. As I passed going 65 they were laughing at me... :screwy:
