I can't stand every other channel besides movie channels, and Comedy Central, and the only reason I watch Comedy Central is because of South Park, everything else sucks, ESPECIALLY that new show uh... fuck... i forget, its the one with that cartoon guy. The History channel always has good Civil, WW1/2, Nam, Korean, etc. shows to watch. I just hate it when they have those whole days dedicated to egyptians and all that crap, those are the days i just feel like gnawing my fkn hand off. Everytime they showed history movies in school i'd go to sleep, actually I slept all the time, thats why I got my GED. They got some pretty cool shows on now, one called Tactical to Practical, its about military shit gone civilian, another called Mail Call with gunny R. Lee Ermey, that crazy drill sgt from Full Metal Jacket (greatest movie i've ever seen, next to Debbie Does Dallas). So watch HC.

I'm guessing war pig never wrote many essays. I love the history channel. We have three of them here, at least three that i know of. I always flip between the three. There is bound to be something good on

They even have a car show - Shift Gears - it's alright, but the host doesn't know cars like he says he does. How about Hooked on Illegal drugs & how they got that way - or some shit like that?

my his108 professor despised the history channel. he said it was all bullshit i love it. histories mysteries, modern marvels, and tactical to practical are my fav programs on that channel.

You better believe I watch the history channel. Its pretty much the only channel on tv thats remotely mentally stimulating.

As for your His108 prof BP2K2Max, he's an idiot for saying that. What history has he learned, b/c it all seems to sum up what i've learned over the years. Oh wait, he's probably one of those wackos thats trying to change what information is put into text books.

History channel is good, but I prefer National Geographic and the Discovery channels here in the UK.

yeah he's an asswipe. he's under the impression it's government controlled to give an americanized view on history. it's funny you say that about text books. you got it 100% dead on. he's dedicated whole 75 minute classes to how our High School text books and teachers force fed us "bullshit" you shoulda seen his face when i asked him what makes him right over the last 15 History teachers i've had since Grade 1. i thought that big vein in his neck was gonna bust. as long as he passes me with a C i'll get my degree and i can forget all the nonsense he "taught" me.

Well, to an extent, some texts may have an americanized view on history. But the only way to prove/disprove is to get a book from another country. I do know that in the past i remember seeing something on the news aobut text books having wrong information in them.
But yea, i love making teachers feel stupid.

yeah, i suppose it's hard not to be biased. if you didn't have a vested interest in the subject you wouldn't write a book on it and it's hard not to form an opinion one way or the other when you put that much time into something.
