Nokia 8250, nothing expensive or flashy, just a run of the mill mobile. I'd buy a new one, but I don't see the point in having polyphonic ringtones and a camera, not like they're ever gonna get used. Personally, I barely make calls and just wait for people to call me, saves call credit. *note: the phone was bought for $20AUD, hot*

I hate cell phones.

Makes me feel like my dad has me on a leash and whenever he wants me home, he just calls and tell me to come home.

I have a Motorola V60 it is probably the 20th or so phone I have had. the last was a Nokia 8250 I think, it did not work sometimes kept having trouble with the simm card and when i took it to the cingular store the tech told be "There is nothing wrong with the phone you just don't know what you are doing" So I say "Are you calling me stupid?" He says "If you want to phrase it that way, yes" So in an act of rage I throw the phone at him and it hit the wall and busts into about 6pcs. But I got my V60 phone for free b/c I told them they would give me a phone or i would take my bussiness else where, and that someone would be loosing thier job for calling customers stupid. :)

naw i don't have one, I could get one but don't want one. I don't want to be bothered when i'm out with my friends or at school, or while I'm driving. If i'm not doing anything, then i'll be at home and then I can save myself $20 a month by just having ppl call my house. I also have a work phone so I can get contacted there during summer. But other than that, if i'm out I'd rather not be bothered by someone else.

I have an audiovox 8500 I really only carry it in case the car breaks down or I need to call someone for an emergency type thing or to ask a question. I don't go around giving the number to all my friends because than they'd just call me constantly for stupid crap.

I cant understand how anyone could live without a mobile phone. It's gone beyond the stage where it makes my life easier, I simply cant not have one.
I think i'm on my 8th phone now, a Sony Ericsson P800. Absolutely brimming with features

a cell phone is a necessity now a days. cell phones have just become smaller and smaller over the past few years with so many features. they used to be big bulky boxes that would fit in your pocket. now, with all the features of different makes and models...i dont know which one to get for a next phone.

For you virgin mobile guys, if you have the audiovox 8500 did you know theres a free WAP wireless internet trick. It's not really a hack more of a programming error, its even mentioned somewhere in the users manual. I have asked VM about it and they said its not illegal but they'd prefer if I didn't use it.

All you have to do is be quick with your fingers, hit the vx button, as it opens you hold it down before it connets to VM online with the MTV stuff, than you hit like 6-2 I think it is (browser menu, advanced, homepage) and change the url to a wap website such as yahoo (http://wap.oa.yahoo.com) and you have free wireless internet.

Ugh... I can't stand the things. I want to make a shirt that I can wear to the mall that says "I HATE CELL PHONES" just so I don't have to deal with those snotty sales people trying to hock the damn things to me from there little kiosk-of-hell in the middle of the hall. I usually brush them off with a walkby: "Can't stand 'em, downfall of civilized society, et cetera, et cetera..." I'm already dependent on enough things to survive life, including some pretty major ones (*cough*car*cough*.) The last thing I need is to hear myself stating that "I don't know how people can get by without them" or something to that tune. All I know, is people have gotten by just fine without them for the last umpteen millenia. That, and EVERYONE who gets a cell phone initially says that they won't be one of those arrogant SOB's and leave the thing on all the time to interrupt people. Well, it STILL happens EVERY time I go to the movies, or to a play, or when I'm dealing with a customer. You ever tried to do an entire transaction with some ignorant person who won't get off their goddamn phone for 2 minutes? People eventually get lazy, or don't feel like shutting them off- needless to say, I rarely go through an entire day of classes without SOMEONE'S cellphone going off. If I were my professors, I wouldn't stand for that during my lecture, and some of them do get very snippy when it happens. I don't blame 'em.
