It's amazing how quickly we accept AF as part of our lives,and assume an interest in the way that it is run.I really can't remember my first post,but I've certainly stepped on some toes on my journey with AF.Some of our new members take a little longer than others to determine the mood of the forums,some give up trying to fit in and move on.Some simply come to be brash and loud,and get sat on their backsides for their trouble.Some make reposts because they don't know what has gone before,some make their sig pics to large or make their posts in the wrong forums.Some manage to post without fully understanding the difference between 'reply','new thread',and 'report this post to a moderator'.
Whatever else they may be,they should still be treated as equals.Most of them are just in for a relaxing time in front of their PC's.Those that don't find their place will drift away,those that cause trouble get sent packing.Those that wish to stay should be welcomed,not belittled.I can't remember what it was like trying to get established at AF,but the way that some people act towards new faces around the place is just ill-mannered.We were all there once,this is not a private forum,so how about cutting some of our new friends some slack,eh?

Say what you want, but I'm noticing this as a recurring event. Sure, nobody is all - knowing, and we were all n00b's at one point, but outside, of the Coffee Break forum, i take the information traded in the car categories as honest and genuine. i dont need some dumbass in the Mazda section saying "whats a protege?" :screwy:

Plus, if a n00b keeps doing dumb posts, he / she gets higher ranking, but if the posts remain stupid, whats that rank worth? :eek7:
